You've upset him...

A 2nd WIP of Poison Ivy...

I don't think I'll be going much farther than this...

i may color it, but at this time... I have no time...

I was very happy with how it came out... but I'm already starting to hate it.

She's got such a lovely seductive experssion on her face and the Little Shop of Horror plants came out very good. I like the picture and you don't have to hate it. It's amazing :)

very detailed & pretty! It is a good piece and might not need to be colored. I've never seen poison Ivy's face done like that. You have given her a very round nose and full lip. Her face reminds me of something or someone but I can't remember what or who.

hmm, thanks.

I dunno, I just didn't want to draw her the way everyone else does, I wanted to add my own flair into it.

I'm guessing this is pencil. Since this linear, tight pencil technique is ideally suited to inking, why not finish this piece with pen and brush? Once it's finished, it could be judged definitively. As is, it shows nice form, tone and texture, all contributing to a credible three dimensional illusion (3DI).

I'm glad you did. It made it unique and enjoyable. Someone who had no idea who poison Ivy was could still appreciate it. That is the major flaw in fan art. You are never sure if people like your art or the subject matter. Actually, from my limited experience, that is a problem with all art unless you surround yourself with people who know a lot about art and can judge it without being biased on the subject matter. These people are rare and I'm usually not in their number myself. For example, I have a real hard time appreciating most photography.

I think you did a beautiful job on this, Monica. The details within the plants are great, and your pencil work is very tight, so those details don't get lost in each other. Ivy herself is done quite well, and I like how you've incorporated your personal style into her design. If you ever had time to color this, you should give it a shot; that'll help to make the details stand out even more. But, that's up to you.

College is the best and worst four years of your life.

I've never used a brush, I'm a little scared of it. I'm hoping to soon have a teacher to show me how it's done. I could ink it with ballpoint, but my inks rarely come out as good as the pencils. Maybe when I'm not so afraid to touch it.

This turned out excellent i would like to see it colored but it works very well as it is. I'm glad to see your still around I haven't been on DA much as of late.
